Harvey William Walters

March 15, 1922 - January 10, 2012

Harvey William Walters, 89, King City, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at his home.
He was born March 15, 1922 in Ford City, MO, the son of Henry Oliver and Jessie Marie (Baker) Walters.
On May 30, 1943, he married L. Fern Barber in Darlington, MO. She preceded him in death on November 26, 2008.
Harvey was a graduate of Albany High School and he was a farmer. Harvey was a member of the First Baptist Church, of King City and also served on the Ford City Cemetery Board.
Survivors include sons, Terry (Debra) Walters, Kearney, MO and Mike (Debbie) Walters, King City, MO; daughter, Phyllis (Veryle) Hunter, King City, MO; sisters, Sally Bashor and Molly Faulkoner, both of Independence, MO and Vesta Tunks, Maysville, MO; 5 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gwendolyn Walters; brother, Perry Walters; 2 granddaughters, Teresa Walters and Katherine Walters.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 13, at the Roberson Funeral Home, King City, Missouri. Burial in Ford City Cemetery, Ford City, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:30 - 8:30 Thursday, at the funeral home where friends may call after 2:00 on Thursday.
